Architects and Town planning consultants required in Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority

CMDA intends to engage independent Consultants who can work at CMDA Office part time on retainer fee basis for a period of one year in the following positions for the preparation of Local Area Plan (Re-development plan) for George Town Area and Town Planning Scheme for a suburban area in Chennai Metropolitan Area.

The Consultants have to assist CMDA in preparing the Re-development Plan and in the preparation of the Town Planning Scheme.

1. Urban Designer (1 No.) – Registered Architect with Master’s Degree in
   Urban Design with a minimum of 10 years work experience in Master
   Planning/Community Planning works. Preference will be given to candidates
   conversant with Urban Design elements of George Town / with experience in
   similar Government projects.
2. Senior Architect (1 No.) – Registered Architect with Master’s Degree in
   Town Planning with a minimum of 10 years experience in similar projects.
   Preference will be given to candidates conversant with formulation of Form
   Based Codes.
3. Town Planner (3 Nos.) – Master’s Degree in Town Planning with GIS
   knowledge and a minimum of 3 years experience in similar projects.
4. Architect (3 Nos.) – Registered Architect with at least 2 years experience in
   any Urban Design studio.
