FM announced the development of on-site Museums at five Archeological sites in Budget 2020

In her second union budget, presented on Saturday in parliament. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the development of on-site Museums at archeological site in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana,Assam, Tamilnadu and Gujarat. The archeological sites will be Hastinapur, Rakhigarhi, Shivsagar, Adichanallur and Dholvira respectively.

 

FM proposed the setting up of an Indian Institute of Heritage and Conservation under the Ministry of Culture.She also proposed the setting of a tribal museum in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

” I propose to provide Rs 2500 crores for promotion of tourism in the year 2020-21”, said FM during the Budget Session. She said Rs 3,150 crore has been allocated for the Ministry of Culture.
